A Note on Using the T-Engine Development Kits

Please take note of the problem described below in using the T-engine development kits for the SH7750 series, SuperH RISC engine family of MCUs.

- Problem
If any USB device is connected to or disconnected from your T-engine development kit that has power supplied to it, a power IC used in the 5-V power supply equipped with the kit will be damaged, which causes the kit to malfunction.
So when connecting a USB device to or disconnecting it from the kit, make sure that the power is off.

If the above problem arises, turn the power off as soon as possible; otherwise, the power IC may overheat. Though the IC does not catch fire, it may scald you if you touch the IC. So don't touch it in such a case. |

If you touch the power IC or any parts around it with power being supplied to the development kit, the power IC may be damaged or overheated. When the kit is active, never touch any parts on the board and its component side to avoid trouble. |
- Another Notice
The maximum rated current drawn from the power supply is 250 mA. So it must be connected with any USB device and PCMCIA card (a supply voltage of 5 volts) that draw more than 250 mA in total.
