The E10A-USB Emulator Software
Revised to V.2.02 Release 00 |
We have revised the emulator software for the E10A-USB emulators
(HS0005KCU01H and HS0005KCU02H) to V.2.02 Release 00. These emulators are
used for the SuperH RISC engine, H8S, and H8SX families of MCUs.

Emulator software V1.0.00 through V.2.01 Release 00
for the E10A-USB emulators (HS0005KCU01H and HS0005KCU02H)

The above emulator software and the emulators are used for
the following MCUs of the SuperH RISC engine family:
- SH7206 group, SH7200 series (SH-2A device group)
- SH-Mobile series (New_SH-Mobile device group)
- SH7780 group, SH7780 series (SH-4A device group)
- SH7781 group, SH7780 series (SH-4A device group)
- SH7763 group, SH7760 series (SH-4A device group)

Problem Fixed
The problem on using built-in trace capability, which arises when
any of the SH7206 MCU group is targeted for debugging, has been
fixed.

Command Name Altered
The command name for RESETMODE, which is typed on the command line,
has been altered from RSM to RSMD. (This command is used only when
the SH-Mobile series; the SH7780 and SH7781 groups, SH7780 series;
and the SH7763 group, SH7760 series, SuperH RISC engine family of
MCUs are targeted.)
The reason is that RSM is a command name already used in Microsoft'
command script; that is, RSM is a command for managing media resources
using removable memory area.

- How to Update Your Software
Free-of-charge online update is available. The update procedures are as
follows:

Download the update program from Download site. |

Decompress the downloaded ZIP file to obtain the install program
(a setup.exe file); then execute it. |
| (3) |
|
Execute the Setup Tool for E10A-USB Emulator program to set up the
emulator software for the E10A-USB. |

The install program obtained in 3-(2) above cannot change the
device group you are using to another one. |

If the install program is executed in the system where the
High-performance Embedded Workshop V.4.00.01 or earlier
resides, it will be updated to V.4.00.02. |
