The E8 Emulator Software
Revised to V.2.06 Release 01 |
We have revised the software for the E8 on-chip debugging emulator from
V.2.06 Release 00 to V.2.06 Release 01

The Emulator Debuggers Revised
Three of the emulator debuggers included with the emulator software have
been revised at the same time. The revised debuggers are as follows:
- R8C/Tiny E8 emulator debugger V.2.02.01
- M16C/Tiny, M16C/62P E8 emulator debugger V.1.02.01
- M32C/80 E8 emulator debugger V.1.01.01
Note that the H8/300H Tiny, H8/300H Super Low Power, H8/300L Super Low
Power E8 emulator debugger V.1.01.01 remains as before (not revised).

A Problem Fixed in Emulator Debuggers
The following problem has been fixed: The Interrupt Enable flag
(the I flag) is not set to 1 when single-step execution performed in
the interrupt handling function has allowed processing to return
from the interrupt routine serviced to the main program.
The H8/300H Tiny, H8/300H Super Low Power, H8/300L Super Low Power
E8 emulator debugger is not involved in this problem.

The Evaluation Version of the M3T-NC30WA C-Compiler Package Revised
The evaluation version of the M3T-NC30WA C-compiler package included
with the emulator software has been revised from V.5.40 Release 00
to V.5.40 Release 00A.

- Restriction
When the H8/38327F or H8/38347F MCU is targeted for debugging,
using the LCD or WDT Reset function may result in the Communication
Timeout Error.

- How to Update Your Product
Free-of-charge update is available. If you are using the software
product, download the executable file of the update program from Download
site and execute it.
NOTICES:
- You can select the update program out of two, the full-package and
the light version. The former contains a full set of the emulator
debuggers for the E8 emulator, the High-performance Embedded
Workshop, the evaluation version of the C compiler package, the
AutoUpdate utility, and the user's manual. Note, if you select the
latter, that it contains the emulator debuggers for the E8 emulator
and the High-performance Embedded Workshop only.
- If the update program is executed in the system where the High-
performance Embedded Workshop V.4.00.02 or earlier resides, it will
be upgraded to V.4.00.03.
