| Free-of-Charge Upgrade of the WS and ES Products
of the Compact Emulator and Emulation Probe
for the R8C/Tiny Series of MCUs |
Free-of-charge upgrade is available of the WS and ES products of the
compact emulator and emulation probe for the R8C/Tiny series of MCUs (where
WS and ES represent the Working and the Engineering sample).
- Products Concerned
- The WS and ES products of the compact emulator R0E521000CPE00
- The WS and ES products of the emulation probe R0E521000EPB00,
which is used together with the PC7501 emulator
The labels WS TOOL and ES TOOL are affixed to the WS and ES products
respectively.
WS or ES is also distinguishable by the serial number inscribed on the
label that are affixed to the rear surface (the one connected with the
converter board) of each R0E521000EPBM0 MCU board built in both the
emulator and probe as follows:

- Description of Upgrade
The products concerned are upgraded to the equivalents of the standard
products by replacing your R0E521000EPBM0 MCU board with the upgraded
one. For the performance of the standard products, see their
datasheets on the Web sites shown below.

Application for upgrade
Fill in the appended free-of-charge upgraded R0E521000EPBM0 MCU
board application form and send it to us by E-mail.

Your local Renesas Technology sales office or distributor

Delivery of the upgraded R0E521000EPBM0 MCU board
We will send you an upgraded R0E521000EPBM0 MCU board per product
in the middle of February. This MCU board can be used for every
product concerned.

Replacement of the MCU board
After receiving the MCU board, substitute it for yours by following
the instructions of the release note enclosed with it; then validate
the system. When satisfactory, send back us or discard your previous
board. |
- Effective Date of Application
Acceptable from February 1 to August 30, 2006, inclusive.
If circumstances prevent you from sending your application form in
this period, please contact your local Renesas Technologysales
office or distributor.
