The Emulator Software
for the E10A-USB Emulators
Revised to V.2.03 Release 00 |
We have revised the emulator software package for the E10A-USB Emulators
(HS0005KCU01H and HS0005KCU02H) from V.2.02 Release 00 to V.2.03 Release 00.
This software package is used for the SuperH RISC engine, H8S, and H8SX
families of MCUs.

The following problems have been fixed:

If memory accessing functions* are performed during execution of the user program, the program may be halted even though the STOP button is not pressed to forcibly break it. At this time, message "BREAK KEY" appears in the Output window.
This problem arises when you debug programs for the New_SH-Mobile series and SH-4A- and SH-2A-cored devices in the SH family.

Those of reading from and writing to memory, displaying the values of variables, monitoring, displaying built-in I/Os, displaying the names and values of labels and variables, and automatically updating the values of variables during program execution. |

If "H8S_custom_SoC" is selected as the target device at starting the emulator software, the emulator software cannot be connected with the emulator with message "MCU ID code error" displayed. |

- How to Update Your Software
Free-of-charge online update is available if you are using the product
concerned. The update procedures are as follows:

Download the update program from Download site. |
| (2) |
|
Decompress the downloaded ZIP file to obtain the install program (a setup.exe file); then execute it. |
| (3) |
|
Execute the Setup Tool for E10A-USB Emulator program to set up the emulator software for the E10A-USB. |
- Notices

The install program obtained in 3-(2) above cannot change the
device group you are using to another one. |
| (2) |
|
If the install program is executed in the system where the
High-performance Embedded Workshop V.4.00.02 or earlier
resides, it will be updated to V.4.00.03. |
