The Emulator Software for the E8 Emulator
Revised to V.2.06 Release 02 |
We have revised the emulator software for the E8 on-chip debugging emulator from V.2.06 Release 01 to V.2.06 Release 02.

An Emulator Debugger Revised
An emulator debugger "H8 Tiny/Super Low Power E8 Emulator" included in the previous emulator software has been revised to V.1.02.00.
Note that no changes have been made to the other emulator debuggers included in the emulator software.

Supported MCUs Increased
The H8/36094F and H8/36109F MCUs, members of the H8/300H Tiny series, have newly been added to the supported line.

A problem in Using the "H8 Tiny/Super Low Power E8 Emulator" Debugger Fixed
The following known problem has been fixed:
When the H8/38327F MCU is targeted for debugging, using the LCD or WDT Reset function results in the malfunctioning of the emulator with an error message saying "Communication Timeout Error" accompanied.
And, when the H8/38347F targeted, using the WDT Reset function causes the same error to arise, though the LCD function is performed properly.

- How to Update Your Product
Free-of-charge online update is available. If you are using the product concerned, download the executable file of the update program from Download site.
NOTICES:
- You can select the update program out of two, the full-package and the light version. The former contains a full set of the emulator debuggers for the E8 emulator, the High-performance Embedded Workshop, the evaluation version of the C compiler package, the AutoUpdate utility, and the user's manual. Note, if you select the latter, that it contains the emulator debuggers for the E8 emulator and the High-performance Embedded Workshop only.
- If the update program is executed in the system where the High- performance Embedded Workshop V.4.00.02 or earlier resides, it will be upgraded to V.4.00.03.
