Defective MCU Replacement Service Announcement (for M16C/60, /61 Emulation pods)

Mitsubishi is offering defective MCU replacement service for the M16C/60, 61 group emulation pods: M30600T-RPD, M30600T-RPD-E, M30610T-RPD, and M30610T-RPD-E.
The current emulation MCU has a port access failure problem. All products which have this problem will be repaired at no charge.

Example: 7JS012EN has already been corrected.
- Defect Details
The MCU as described above, has a port access failure defect in which the contents of ports and direction registers may be modified even when they are not accessed.

- Requested Customer Action
Please send your emulation pod to us via your nearest distributor.
We will replace the MCU and ship it back to you after testing.
Note that we can only replace one MCU; either M16C/61 or M16C/60.
Please indicate which MCU you are using, and any other other pertinant information, on the request form and FAX it to us.
Also, include a copy of the FAX in the shipping box.
We greatly appreciate your cooperation and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.
- Replacement Request Deadline
We will accept Replacement Requests until June, 1998.
- Additional Notes
- There may be a charge for repairing an emulation pod which is not in proper working condition when received at us.
- Please be aware that we do not have substitution products (i.e. we can only replace the MCU, not the entire pod).
- Repairs and transportation will take approximately 3 weeks or more to be completed.
