Emulators Precaution
|
Please note the following errors concerning PC4700, PC4701, PC4900, and PC4901 emulators.
Product Concerned
Emulators when support LAN interface feature:
- Emulator for 740 Family and M16C/60 Series
- Emulator for M16 Family
- PC4900........PC4900H / PC4900L with LAN option
- PC4901........PC4901HS / PC4901L with LAN option
Usage Environment
The error occurs when you connect the host machine to the emulator with LAN interface.
Error Phenomena
The emulator debugger may not start properly.
This phenomenon can be confirmed by a state of LED on the emulator front panel.
- When using PC4700 / PC4701 Emulators
- Normal start up
When the emulator is powered on, all LEDs are lit.
After 10 seconds, the ERROR LED is turned off.
- Abnormal start up
All LEDs continue turning on.
When emulator debugger can't start besides this state, there is a cause in setting of LAN interface.
Please refer to emulator Users manuals.
- When using PC4900 / PC4901 Emulators
- Normal start up
When the emulator is powered on, the SAFE LED is lit.
After 20 seconds, the LED switches to lighting.
- Abnormal start up
When the emulator is powered on, the SAFE LED is turned off for several seconds.
After that, the LED starts to light same as normal start up.
But the ERROR LED is turned on after the SAFE LED stops to light.
When emulator debugger can't start besides this state, there is a cause in setting of LAN interface.
Please refer to emulator Users manuals.
Solution
Turn off and on of the emulator power switch for less than a second.
