Please care about the problem described below which occurs when using stack usage calculation utility STK30 of M16C family compiler NC30WA V3.00 Release 1 (including assembler AS30 and integrated tool manager (TM). Also, note that in NC30WA and AS30 the performances of some options have changed as a result of upgrading the products.
On STK30
- Problem
If a map file is specified with the -m option, control outputs error message "invalid file format" and does not operate properly when invoking STK30.

On -M60 and -M62 Options
In NC30WA and AS30, changes have been made to options -M60 and -M62 as follows.
Please care about these change when you use the M16C/60 or M16C/61 groups of microcomputers.
- Option -M60 has been designated as a default in V.2.00 Release 1.
- Option -M62 has been designated as a default in V.3.00 Release 1.
Options -M60, -M61, and -M62 perform the following operations.
| Option | Description |
| -M60 | Inserts an 'NOP' instruction immediately after the 'SHL', 'SHA', and 'ROT' instructions. |
| Inserts a 'JMP.B' instruction immediately before the 'JMP.A' and 'JSR.A' instructions |
| Outputs a warning message if a branch instruction exists across a 64-KB bank at linking |
| -M61 | Outputs a warning message if a branch instruction exists across a 64-KB bank at linking |
| -M62 | Prohibits the above operation |
