Mitsubishi announces that emulator debugger PD16 for the M16 family of microcomputers has been upgraded to PD16 V.1.20 Release 1.
Product Summary
PD16 V.1.20 Release 1 is an emulator debugger that controls emulators PC4901HS, PC4901L, PC4900H, and PC4900L for the M16 family of microcomputers.
Descriptions of Upgrading
The previous version (PDB16 V.1.10 Release 1) has been upgraded as follows:
- Extended Functions
- Supporting communications with LAN
LAN has been added to the communications interface with PC4901HS/PC4901L.
- Supporting long file names
Long file names can be used to save and download files.
- Modified functions
The following functions have been modified to remove each problem they come with:
- C watch window and local window
Problem: In the C watch and local windows, data is represented in 32 bits wide when there is no value within a range where variables of type signed char can be shown with characters.
- Calculation dialog box
Problem: If a calculation with the calculation dialog box indicates an abnormal result (representing "?????"), the radix is changed at the timing independent of user's intention.
- Hardware watch points
Problem: When the RAM monitor and hardware watch points are used, setting hardware watch points out of the range of RAM monitoring causes the following problems:
- Byte: Data is fixed to 01
- Half word: Uppermost 1 byte of data is fixed to 02
- Word: Uppermost 1 byte of data is fixed to 04
Host System Requirements
PD16 V.1.20 Release1 is hosted on an IBM PC/AT or compatible computer running Windows 95. Table 1 shows the host system requirements of PD16 V.1.20 Release1.

Publishing Media
Hereafter the product is published in a CD-R, and the ID number that is inscribed in your license ID certificate is needed to install the software.
