| PC4700H | Emulator for 8/16-bit MCUs (High-end version) |
| PC4701L + LAN option | Emulator for 8/16-bit MCUs (Low-end version meeting overseas specifications) |
| PC4700L + LAN option | Emulator for 8/16-bit MCUs (Low-end version) |

Problem
When the emulators concerned are connected to their host computers with the LAN interface, the emulators cannot communicate with the host computers if their specified IP addresses are within the range shown below:
IP Addresses: 208.0.0.HHH--223.255.255.HHH
Here, the symbol "HHH" represents a host address and is given a value within a range 1--254. Furthermore, this malfunction of communication occurs whatever subnet mask and port number you specify.
Solution
Since this malfunction results from a bug in the monitor program on the LAN board, it is necessary to modify the monitor program ROM. This monitor program ROM, however, is different from the ROM into which the firmware is downloaded, so the bug cannot be fixed by revising the firmware. Therefore, please send your emulator back to us (acceptable from August 3, 1998), and its monitor program ROM is replaced by the revised one.
