Announcement of
Simplified Ordering of
Tool Products

This is to announce that the ordering format of our tool products with type name MSCH has been simplified. The details are described below.
Aims of Simplified Ordering Format
The simplified ordering format aims at:
- facilitating import procedure,
- making it easier to enter ordering information of tool products, and
- responding to the change of our company name.
Descriptions of Simplified Ordering Format
Product names themselves of most software- and hardware-tool products (type names of MSCH-TOOL-S/H-xx are currently used for ordering) can be used as type names needed for ordering .
- Software-tool products
The type name of the products that have been represented by "MSCH-TOOL-S-Product Code" is changed as follows:
(1) Products -> Type Name: "M-" to be placed in front of a product name
Comments: Further information on ordering
Example: For English version of NC30WA for Windows 95/NT 4.0
Type Name: M-NC30WA
Comments: W95E
(2) Manuals -> Type Name: MESH-TOOL-S
Comments: The name of a manual
Example: For English version of PD30 Users Manual
Type Name: MESH-TOOL-S
Comments: PD30-UE
- Hardware-tool products
The type name of the products that have been represented by "MSCH-TOOL-H-Product Code" is changed as follows:
(1) Products with a name beginning with PCA or M3
-> Type Name: Product name
Comments: None
Example: For programming adapter PCA7412F-100
Type Name: PCA7412F-100
Comments: None
(2) Products with a name not beginning with either PCA or M3
-> Type Name: "M-" to be placed in front of a product name
Comments: None
Example: For accessory 80LCC-QSD
Type Name: M-80LCC-QSD
Comments: None
(3) LCC sockets, products to be repaired, and custom products
-> Type Name: MESH-TOOL-H
Comments: Specifications to be described
Example: For PC4701HS to be repaired
Type Name: MESH-TOOL-H
Comments: PC4701HS REPAIR
Notes on Hardware-Tool Products
- The type names of 25 products have been registered as those described in (1) and (2) above, as of October 1, 1998. For these products, refer to the related document, "Hardware products whose type names and comments have been changed".
For products their type names have not been registered, please order them the same way as before (see below). We are to enlarge the number of registered products.
Type Name: MESH-TOOL-H
Comments: Product Name
- For products with a long product name (exceeding 13 characters), an abbreviated name is used, if necessary.
Example: DIRECT42-450-50 -> M-DCT42-450-50
Here, DIRECT has been abbreviated to DCT.
Notes
For information on the type name of each product, refer to the related document, "How To Order Tool Products October 1, 1998".
To make the transition easier, the current ordering format can be accepted until April 30, 1999.
