Please take note of the following problem in using debuggers PD30 and PD30SIM for the M16C/60 series of microcomputers.

- PD30 V.3.00 Release 1 and later
- PD30SIM V.3.00 Release 1
Problem
When debugging programs generated by IAR's C compiler ICCM16C, the values of Auto variables registered in the C-watch and local windows cannot correctly be displayed. Note that this problem does not occur when you use NC30WA.
Workaround
Practice the following procedure to display the values of Auto variables correctly:
- Create a file named "pdb30.ini" in the Windows directory (e.g. C:\Windows) of your host computer; then, describe the lines shown below in it. If this file has already been created in the directory, delete the file to re-create it.
