M16C/60, M16C/61, M16C/62, and M16C/6V Groups' Emulation Pods Precaution On Pullup Control
|
Please take note of the following problem in using the emulation pods of the M16C/60, M16C/61, M16C/62, and M16C/6V groups of microcomputers.
Problem on Pullup Control
Pullup control operations of port pins P0--P5 differ between each MCU and the corresponding emulation pod of M16C/60, M16C/61, M16C/62, and M16C/6V groups (those of port pins P6--P10 do not differ). The differences are shown in [Table 1].
[Table 1]Differences of Enabling/Disabling Pullup Control between Actual MCUs and Emulation Pods
| Single Chip Mode | Memory Expansion Mode in Microprocessor Mode |
| Actual MCU | (1) Pullups enabled only when the port used as input
| Disabled (except that pullups enabled when the P44(CS0)--P47(CS3) pins of the M16C/62 group MCUs are used as an input port) |
| Pod | (1) Pullups always enabled regardless of operating modes (enabled even when the port used as address bus/data bus/output port, etc.) (2)All four selected bits of the P0--P5 pullup control register are enabled regardless of whether the port is used as input or output |
Pods Concerned
The pods concerned with this problem are shown in [Table 2] below. Note that their remodeled pods are also concerned.
[Table 2] List of Pods Concerned
| (1) Pods for M16C/60 Group | M30600T-RPD (dropped from production) M30600T-RPD-E |
| (2)Pods for M16C/61 Group | M30610T-RPD(dropped from production) M30610T-RPD-E |
| (3) Pods for M16C/62 Group | M30620T-RPD (dropped from production) M30620TB-RPD(dropped from production) M30620T-RPD-E M30620TB-RPD-E |
| (4)Pods for M16C/6V Group | M306V0T-RPD(dropped from production) M306V0T-RPD-E |
Actions Ahead
For newly produced pods, refer to the user's manual of theirs.
