The free-of-charge upgrade service is applicable to the specific products of the M30800T-RPD-E emulation pod purchased during the period from March to June of this year. Note that the products specially shipped as engineering samples to be lent at no charge (ES TOOL/TS TOOL) are excluded from this service.

For the M30800T-RPD-E whose last letter of serial No. is "A", it is unnecessary to upgrade. It means that your pod has been already replaced with production-run MCU.

The MCU mounted on your emulation pod is replaced with a production-run MCU, which will solve three limitations* imposed on your specific product.

* See the note "On Limitations Imposed on M16C/80 Emulation Chip" attached to the specific product.

Emulator debugger PD308 is not included with either the mass-produced pod or upgraded one you will get. The beta version of PD308 supplied with each of the specifically produced pods has been scheduled to be tentatively lent at no charge until the commercial PD308 is released. As it was issued on the 1st of July, you are encouraged to order it.

Please copy and fill in the "Application Form for Upgrading M30800T-RPD-E (Specific Product)" and send it together with your pod to your local Renesas Technology sales office or distributor. We will upgrade your pod without charge.

Your product is acceptable until October 29, 1999. If circumstances prevent you from sending it until the above date, please contact us in advance.
