Upgraded Version Announcement

This is to announce that cross-tool kit CC32R for the M32R family of microcomputers has been upgraded from its V.1.00 Release 4 to V.2.00 Release 1.
- Descriptions of Upgrading
- 1.1 Supported by TM (Integrated Development Environment)
- Upgraded CC32R enables you to develop programs more efficiently using the GUI function provided by TM.
- 1.2 Three memory models supported
- Any of the memory models, small, medium, and large, is selectable to suit the user's system.
- 1.3 M32Rx-supporting assembler
- The assembler has been enhanced to support the M32Rx instruction set, which allows you to assemble instructions added or modified in M32Rx MCUs.
- 1.4 Overlay function of linker introduced
- 1.5 C++ Comments written within C-source programs allowed
- 1.6 Electronic manual in PDF adopted
- Hereafter the electronic manual of CC32R is substituted for the paperbound one.
- How To Upgrade CC32R
Upgrading procedure varies according to the version of products.
- 2.1 Customers possessing a license ID (users of CC32R V.1.00 Release 4)
- 2.1.1 Online upgrading without charge
- Please download the upgraded product from HERE.
- 2.1.2 Upgrading by CD-ROM as before with additional charge
- Sure to enter "-VUP" in the comments field to order the upgraded product. Your license ID need not be included.

- 2.2 Customers possessing a serial number (users of CC32R V.1.00 Release 3 or earlier)
- 2.2.1 Online upgrading after obtaining a license ID without charge
- Complete the Free-of-Charge CC32R License ID Application Form and fax it to your local Renesas Technology sales office or distributor.
We will issue your license ID* by return, and you will be able to download the upgraded software by using it.
* This is not the license ID needed temporarily to upgrade the software, but the one for certifying that you are a user of CC32R.
- 2.2.2 Upgrading by CD-ROM as before with additional charge
- Sure to enter "-VUP" followed by your serial number in the comments field to order the upgraded product.

- Notes:
- This upgrade service is available only to the customers who have mailed or faxed the user registration card to us. As the publishing of the IBE version has been ceased since the issuance of CC32R V.1.00 Release 4, please upgrade your IBE version of the product to the W95E one.
- After upgrading, you will be serviced and supported on your license ID, not your serial number.
