AS308, AS30, AS79
Precautions
|
Please take note of the following problem in using assemblers AS308 for the M16C/80 series, AS30 for the M16C/60 and 20 series, and AS79 for the 7900 series of microcomputers.
- Versions Concerned
All the versions of the AS308, AS30, and AS79 products, as well as those of the products included with the following C compilers (with assemblers and integrated development environments);
- NC308WA for the M16C/80 series
- NC30WA for the M16C/60 and 20 series
- NC79WA for the 7900 series
- Problem
When an absolute module file is generated by a source file in which no section is declared, creating absolute list files by using this absolute module file will results in absolute lister absxx being incorrectly terminated, displaying "Page Fault".
- Conditions
This problem occurs if the following two conditions are satisfied:
- (1) An absolute module file is generated by a source file where sections are not declared by directive ".SECTION".
- (2) An absolute list file is created by the absolute module file described in (1).
- Workaround
Ensure that sections are declared in the source file.
