M30620TB-RPD-E Remodeling Announcement

This is to announce that we are going to remodel the specific products of emulation pod M30620TB-RPD-E for the M16C/62 group of microcomputers.

- Problem Involved
When data is written to an address of the emulation memory in the pod, this data may also be written to another address.

The same data is written to addresses 1000 and 1020.

Note: The reproducibility of the symptom varies with the environment
the pod is used and variations in the characteristics of semiconductor devices.
- Cause of Malfunction
Changing the type of the emulation memory device mounted in the pod has resulted in write timing errors. This change was made from the production lots of the pods in August 1999 on.
- Remodeling of Products
We will remodel every product concerned without charge, so you are kindly requested to send back your emulation pod, if it involved, to your local Renesas Technology sales office or distributor.
The remodeling takes the number of days shown below, so please send back
your pod as early as possible. Note that we will not be able to replace your pod with a new one for its remodeling period.
