Announcement of Remodeling M16C/62 Pods
(M30620T-RPD-E and M30620TB-RPD-E)
to M16C/62A Ones

This is to announce that emulation pods M30620TB-RPD-E and M30620T-RPD-E for the M16C/62 group will be remodeled to those for the M16C/62A group of microcomputers.

Note 1: The emulation pods for the M16C/60 and M16C/61 group MCUs are excluded from this remodeling.
Note 2: The pods for the M16C/62 group MCUs that were once remodeled from the original pods for the M16C/60 and M16C/61 groups are excluded from this remodeling, too.

Notes on Remodeling
(1)After remodeled for the M16C/62A group, your pod will not be restored to its original for M16C/62; the durability of IC's foot pattern and others might be degraded by repetitive replacement of parts.
- (2)On the pods remodeled for the M16C/62A group, the functions dedicated to M16C/62 (memory space expansion etc.) cannot be exercised.
- (3)If your emulation pod does not operate normally, the extra charge for repairing it will be added.
- (4)We will not be able to replace your pod with a new one for its remodeling period.

Remodeling of Products
- 3.1 Acceptable period of products
- Your product is acceptable from Dec. 16, 1999, to Dec. 15, 2000, inclusive. If circumstances prevent you from sending your pod until the expiration date, please contact us in advance.)
- 3.2 Period for remodeling
- (1)Received from Dec. 16 to Dec. 28, 1999: Shipped in order of reception after Jan. 15, 2000
- (2)Received from Jan 5 to Dec. 15, 2000: Shipped about 10 workdays after reception. (Note:Transportation time isn't contained.)

Application Information
If you want to remodel your pod, please copy and fill in the "M16C/62POD M16C/62A Remodel Application Form" and send it together with your pod to your local Renesas Technology sales office or distributor.
